About the role
- You are responsible for the procurement and strategic alignment of material groups with technical and commercial complexity (driver's cabs and other components), at plant, division and corporate levels
- In cross-functional teams you work closely with engineering and coordinate internal and external interfaces on a daily basis
- For new product developments you manage supplier selection, tendering/procurement and project management, and are accountable for establishing the framework for collaboration with suppliers
- You select new suppliers, develop existing suppliers, and optimize the supplier portfolio through market analyses and the development of new partnerships
- You ensure capacity availability for your material groups and suppliers, identify cost-reduction opportunities and actively drive their implementation
- Additionally, you contribute your expertise successfully to purchasing and development projects
Requirements
- You have successfully completed a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering, or possess a comparable qualification
- You have several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in a technical environment, and therefore bring a strong technical and commercial understanding
- You are proficient with standard MS Office programs and have experience using ERP systems
- You are fluent in English, both spoken and written
- You work independently with a process-oriented and structured approach
- You bring strong communication and negotiation skills in dealing with internal and external partners
- A high degree of flexibility, willingness to travel and decisiveness complete your profile
