About the role

  • Contribute to an agile software development team in the field of autonomy and robotics
  • Develop and implement software modules for autonomous construction machinery
  • Create and maintain a realistic simulation environment
  • Collaborate interdisciplinarily with various specialist departments
  • Test, validate, and document the developed software solutions
  • Work together with other sites and external development partners

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering with a focus on Autonomous Systems, Technical Cybernetics, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in system development is an advantage
  • Good programming skills (e.g., C++ or Python)
  • Ideally experience in one or more of the following areas: simulation, digital twins, Unity, ROS2, perception, or control engineering
  • Technical understanding and interest in construction machinery
  • Independent and structured working style, enjoyment of teamwork, strong communication skills, and an aptitude for innovation and conceptual design
