About the role

  • Provide strategic counsel to executive management and actively shape Libri’s communications and marketing strategy
  • Lead and develop the marketing team with a supportive, appreciative approach — fostering ownership, collaboration and creative initiative
  • Oversee our entire communications landscape — from strategic direction to events, social media, web and print, through to PR, corporate publishing and white-label shops
  • Represent Libri at industry events such as the Frankfurter Buchmesse and the Leipziger Buchmesse, and maintain a strong network across the book industry
  • Further develop our sustainability communication and contribute to transparent sustainability reporting
  • Design and continuously improve our communication tools and ensure clear, consistent brand management
  • Initiate and execute joint campaigns with Sales and Purchasing and support our market partners collaboratively in studies and surveys

Requirements

  • University degree in communications, media, journalism or marketing — alternatively substantial hands-on experience, for example in building or scaling a company
  • At least five years of relevant marketing experience as well as experience in leading, developing and motivating your own team
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset combined with strategic strength and analytical foresight
  • Enthusiasm for shaping and design, courage to try new ideas and the motivation to pursue creative approaches and actively drive change
  • Genuine enthusiasm for books, reading and the dynamics of the book industry.
