About the role
- Own cloud architecture and infrastructure as code
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, environments, and release quality gates
- Implement security controls embedded across the SDLC
- Ensure observability that informs real decisions
- Maintain incident response, runbooks, and post-mortems
- Address architecture health and technical debt
- Drive disaster recovery planning and testing
Requirements
- 5+ years running production cloud systems in startup or scale-up environments
- Strong fundamentals: networking, distributed systems, infrastructure economics
- Hands-on with infrastructure as code and major cloud platforms
- Comfortable owning incident response end to end
- Experience embedding security into pipelines, not after them
- Opinionated — and able to defend your opinions clearly
- Blockchain or DeFi experience is a plus
- Strong systems thinking is required
