About the role
- This position will be responsible for the planning, selection, and development of procedures for design engineering projects.
- Plan, design, develop, implement, and manage gas delivery system projects in the company’s gas work plan including new service projects, main extensions, main relays and relocations, as well as complex installations.
- Provide quality designs that the construction group can utilize to build the specified facilities.
- Manage the securing of permits and licenses, and municipal/governmental requirements to complete designs.
- Ensure that the technical requirements of the design are met including system pressure, flow, and operating requirements.
- Collaborate with State and local municipalities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work as part of an engineering staff or project team
- Familiarity with good utility practice and business management including regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Possess excellent written and oral communications skills
- Motivated, self-starter with ability to work in a flexible and fast paced environment.
