About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze workflow issues and data integrity problems, recommend resolutions, and advise management
Lead projects transforming business processes through collection, processing, and visualization of data
Document and optimize business processes using industry best practices
Understand business processes, performance measurement, and analytics needs and gaps
Apply diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analysis to derive insights and drive action
Summarize and describe raw University data sets and support data validation for accuracy
Align data analysis with organizational goals and communicate business impacts through recommendations
Collaborate with business units and provide expert functional input
Develop applications and reports while following internal development and publication standards
Provide operational and technical support for assigned business-unit systems
Update customers on process improvement and technology activities
Occasionally work outside normal business hours for upgrades, deployments, or time-sensitive technology requirements
Develop and maintain custom APEX applications
Document team-owned applications and forms
Troubleshoot application and form issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required
1–2 years of related experience required
1–2 years of SQL experience preferred
Advanced Excel and Access experience
Experience with reporting tools such as Argos or SSRS
Experience with at least one mainstream business intelligence platform, preferably Tableau
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to understand, speak, and write English professionally
Strong organizational and computer skills
Ability to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve routine and complex problems
May be required to travel
Valid driver’s license, acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance required when driving for work
