About the role
- Responsible for the administration, facilitation, and teaching of classes of approx. 14-25 online students from around the country and international.
- Daily internet interaction with students.
- Perform administrative tasks, interact with students through grading and interactive forums, and build relationships while under the supervision of Online Instructional Mentors.
- Teaching material from approved curriculum in accordance with assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction.
- Assisting students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes.
- Providing regular and timely feedback to students.
- Advising students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.
- Motivating students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process.
- Maintaining and reporting student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Applicant must have an Ed.D., Psy. D., or Ph.D. in Counseling/Psychology, Pastoral/Ministry or a related field.
- Degree must be from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Must have completed a traditional qualitative or quantitative dissertation.
- Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University.
- Must demonstrate experience in qualitative or quantitative research methods in the field or discipline.
- Superior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills required.
- Creative, innovative, and problem-solving skills required.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Canvas, and the Internet.
- Established record of research evidenced by intellectual and professional contributions to the field through peer-reviewed publication and conference presentations preferred.
- Research mentorship experience and experience teaching research methods using online learning platforms (e.g., Canvas) preferred.
- Must work well with others and be able to work at a pace that will not delay the progress of a dissertation candidate toward timely completion of the doctoral degree preferred.
- Ability to schedule and manage synchronous sessions within the required course expectations preferred.
