About the role
- Plan, initiate, coordinate, and execute traditional and agile information technology projects to meet customer requirements, including scope, schedule, and budget
- Troubleshoot and report project risk and execution problems
- Escalate to management appropriately and in timely fashion
- Manage project performance indicators and recovery actions to meet SLA requirements
- Coordinate project planned related customer, engineering staff, and external vendor activities
- Ensures effective communication between all project stakeholders
- Support the project and technology engineering staff as needed
- Support the IS Accounts staff for project related vendor management
- Author and submit project documentation and reports
- Specialization with Service-Now ITSM toolset for project management
- Learn existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services in use at Liberty University
- Creatively resolve issues as they are identified
- Participate in a mentoring program within assigned Departments as a Mentee, Mentor, or both as experience is gained
- Work effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission
Requirements
- 4 year college degree with a concentration in Information Services or Project Management
- 1-2+ years’ related work experience
- PMI Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) certification required preferred
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing
- Excellent computer and organizational skills
- Proof of a valid Virginia driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required
