About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers each student to achieve their potential.
- Prepare and provide individualized instruction and accommodations in a supportive and inclusive general education and/or special education environment.
- Participate in the Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) process to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
- Use data to plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid Texas teaching certificate in Special Education
- Knowledge of academic subject(s) assigned
- Demonstrated proficiency in creation, implementation, and progress monitoring of specially designed instruction
