Teacher, Core Content – Girls Head Soccer Coach, High School

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences
- Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society
- Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and ability to excel in sport assigned
- Contribute to education program as a whole and to growth of students involved in athletics
- Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of district’s curriculum program
- Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles
- Present subject matter according to guidelines established by Texas Education Agency
- Fulfilling all coaching responsibilities and duties as assigned
- Plan and supervise assignments of teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s)
- Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process
- Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned
- Ability to obtain a CDL with passenger, air brake and safety endorsements
- Knowledge of academic subject assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and supervise student athletes
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules
- Ability to pass annual and random DOT physical/drug testing
- Ability to physically perform CPR and First Aid techniques on the ground or floor
- Ability to lift 30lbs
- Quality experience as a coach or participant in sports assigned
