About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure that transactions carried out by the company are properly recorded through understanding and monitoring operations and correct application of accounting standards.
Ensure compliance with the accounting close schedule by implementing processes and KPIs that provide the company's various departments with a clear view of the impact of their activities on the close process, and by ensuring understanding of and adherence to established deadlines.
Support other departments' decision-making by clarifying the financial impacts of proposed scenarios and providing adequate financial information.
Reconcile and analyze account balances, identifying and correcting discrepancies, evaluating account variances, and preparing explanations for major movements and trends identified.
Ensure that ancillary obligations under the accounting department's responsibility are submitted on time and in compliance with legal requirements.
Prepare financial statements and explanatory notes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Prepare financial reports for senior management, providing analyses and insights relevant to strategic decision-making.
Propose and implement improvements and automations in processes relevant to the area, seeking higher quality and efficiency.
Contribute to internal and external audit processes by providing the requested information and documentation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Postgraduate degree or MBA, preferably in Finance or Taxation;
Solid experience in Accounting;
Experience in project and process management;
Advanced Excel;
Experience with SAP, especially the FI module;
Knowledge of other SAP modules (SD, MM and CO);
Experience working closely with Financial Controlling;
Knowledge of accounting entries related to tax operations;
Familiarity with the impacts and changes resulting from the Tax Reform.
