About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs
  • Build backend functionality that interacts with crypto concepts
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers and product to translate requirements
  • Contribute to scalable backend solutions that support various use cases
  • Maintain high engineering standards through code reviews
  • Identify performance and reliability bottlenecks and improve system behavior
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and debugging tools
  • Build and maintain automated test suites across backend services
  • Act as a senior technical contributor supporting design discussions
  • Document APIs, system behavior, and technical decisions for maintainability

Requirements

  • Must be located in the EMEA region
  • Strong professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js
  • Extensive experience as a senior backend engineer on production systems
  • Proven ability to design and maintain high-quality APIs
  • Practical familiarity with crypto products (wallets, swaps, bridges, DeFi)
  • Development experience in blockchain or Web3 systems is a plus
  • Solid understanding of document databases and caching systems (MongoDB, Redis)
  • Experience with backend architecture and system design in distributed environments
  • Deep knowledge of testing principles and backend testing frameworks
  • Proactive, self-directed, and ownership-oriented
  • Very strong written and spoken English
