Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, test, and operate production-grade applications end-to-end across backend and frontend
Develop robust APIs, backend services, data integrations, and intuitive web user interfaces
Translate business needs into maintainable technical solutions with stakeholders, designers, and engineering partners
Contribute to solution architecture, technical decisions, and engineering standards
Write high-quality, secure, well-tested code using modern software engineering practices
Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and improve reliability, performance, and observability
Integrate AI workflows into tools and business processes with other teams
Support API design and exposure for AI-enabled use cases, including Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Evaluate technologies, share knowledge, and contribute to reusable platform components and engineering practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering and operating production applications
Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience
Strong backend development skills, preferably Java or Python
Experience designing and building APIs and services, such as SpringBoot or FastAPI
Strong frontend development skills with TypeScript or JavaScript and a modern framework such as React, Angular, or Vue
Understanding of clean code, design patterns, testing, security, and maintainable architecture
DevOps experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, containerization, deployment automation, and infrastructure as code
Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience, including deployment, operation, and troubleshooting
Basic understanding of AI and generative AI concepts
Interest in integrating AI services and APIs into software products
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Fluent English
Deep model-development experience is not required
Experience in financial services or another regulated industry is nice to have
Experience with Argo CD and GitLab CI/CD is nice to have
Experience with observability and production monitoring is nice to have
Experience with asynchronous or event-driven systems such as Kafka is nice to have
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data modelling, and performance optimization is nice to have
Exposure to AI service APIs, LLM applications, prompt engineering, or RAG is nice to have
Knowledge of secure software development, identity and access management, and data protection requirements is nice to have
German language skills are nice to have
