About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own all transactional accounts in an assigned geography and represent the entire LGC Standards product portfolio across Pharma, Biotech, Environmental, and other end-markets
- Identify and close new prospect opportunities through prospecting, qualification with marketing, and self-generated leads
- Engage customers via email, phone calls, and online meetings to qualify leads, convert prospects, follow up on quotations, and drive new sales
- Use LGC sales tools and virtual capabilities to prospect, nurture, and close opportunities
- Conduct ongoing territory planning
- Cooperate with marketing to launch new products
- Work with the core end-market team to identify competitor activity and market trends
- Manage relevant Service Cloud cases daily, ensuring tasks are handled and response times are maintained
Requirements
What you’ll need- MSc in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or a related subject area, with a blend of educational qualifications and experience reviewed
- Proven experience selling technical products used in laboratories
- Successful track record in account management
- Proficiency in customer relationship management platforms, such as Salesforce
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics
- Strong English communication skills
- Additional languages are an asset
- Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed
