About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for successfully positioning and selling the LGC Diagnostics & Genomics portfolio including products and services.
  • Identify, qualify and engage with new and existing customers.
  • Position LGC Diagnostics & Genomics products to provide solutions to customers' scientific and business needs.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to achieve shared revenue and growth goals.
  • Follow up by phone or email on new customer inquiries, sample requests, webinars and tradeshow leads.
  • Proactively reach out to generate demand for LGC Biosearch & Clinical Diagnostics products and services.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales and Commercial Applications team members to achieve new sales results.
  • Provide custom pricing and quotes to customers.
  • Follow-up on quotes and orders to secure recurring business.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences
  • Proven, effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and to travel as needed (<10%)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills to drive successful relationship building
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with experience or ability to effectively report and track sales metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills
  • Results-oriented, high-energy and positive “can-do” approach
  • Strong skills and expertise in using Microsoft Office and associated applications
  • Excellent business and sales presentation skills using PowerPoint required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, account management, or customer service.
  • Demonstrated understanding and skill set in effective sales process including forecasting.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the life science industry, including bench/lab work in molecular biology or genetics
  • Proficiency with SalesForce.com or other CRM for pipeline and account management
