About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
- Connecting Power BI to various data sources: SQL Server, Azure, Service Now, APIs.
- Working closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
- Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Resolving technical issues as necessary while optimizing performance of reports and queries
- Completing simple bug fixes and keeping abreast of new technology developments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Have at least 2+ years of Software Engineering experience
- Have BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
- Have experience performing ETL/ELT processes using Power Query (M language)/DAX
- Be able to design and develop scalable data models using star/snowflake schemas
- Be familiar with cleaning, transforming, and integrating data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, files)
- Have proven experience building interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
- Be proficient with data manipulation languages and able to work with data models
- Have background in developing visually compelling and user-friendly reports
