Own accurate revenue recognition and AR for all customer contracts
Responsible for assessing, documenting, and defending the company’s revenue recognition policies
Track and validate contract milestones to support timely invoicing
Design, implement, document, and oversee processes and internal controls
Continuously improve and refine processes and procedures
Ensure continuous improvement for our accounting systems environment
Serve as the accounting lead for revenue-related system enhancements
Lead the external annual financial statement audit
Support cross-functional efforts
Monitor sales commissions and properly account for them
Complete monthly and quarterly sales tax reporting requirements
Supervise and mentor an Accounts Payable Specialist.
Requirements
CPA designation (Inactive or Active)
5+ years of related experience.
2+ years of experience leading and managing teams.
Strong Understanding of GAAP Accounting
Deep knowledge of revenue (ASC 606) and other general accounting concepts.
Experience with Employee Benefit Plan audits.
Sales Tax experience.
Team player, confident, good judgment, self motivated and with ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast paced environment.
Analytical problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills with MS Office Software, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
