Key responsibilities & impact

Overseeing key accounting functions with a strong focus on revenue recognition, month-end close, and financial reporting
Preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance
Managing month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Leading revenue accounting processes in accordance with ASC 606
Maintaining and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
Supporting internal and external audit requests and assisting with preparation of audit schedules and documentation
Assisting with the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation, and strengthening internal controls
Partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other business teams to support accounting-related initiatives and projects
Providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight to one direct report, as applicable
Supporting ERP system enhancements, implementations, and process optimization initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
Previous experience managing or mentoring accounting staff preferred
Strong understanding and practical application of ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance required
Experience working within an ERP system required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
Public accounting experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
Experience managing full-cycle month-end close processes
Ability to prepare and post complex journal entries and reconciliations
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Hands-on, team-oriented mindset with willingness to support operational accounting activities as needed
High attention to detail and accuracy
NetSuite experience preferred
Experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments preferred
Experience supporting audits and technical accounting matters preferred
