About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Providing crucial support to operational teams at EUMETSAT in validation, maintenance and operations of operations preparation systems
- Collaborate closely with Mission Operations Teams and support Ground Segment engineering activities.
- Prototype and develop web applications to interface with operations preparation tools
- Maintain and evolve application lifecycle and management of operations preparation tools and their associated infrastructure
- Provide engineering and user support expertise to end-users related to the usage of the developed applications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in developing modern web applications across both backend and frontend
- Good knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, Bash
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Angular
- Experience with building and integrating RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, including automation, containerization and CI/CD
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive, curious mindset with openness to exploring new tools and approaches
- Prior knowledge of operations preparation systems is a plus
