About the role
- Support the design, development, and testing of electrical power systems used in naval applications
- Design, analyze, and modify electrical power and control systems for naval applications
- Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards
- Support system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and failure analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, manufacturing, quality, and program management
- Support production, fielding, and sustainment efforts as needed
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (MIL-STD, IEEE, UL, NEC, etc.)
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and designs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience with experience with power systems, power electronics, control systems, or electrical distribution
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Experience in naval, defense, aerospace, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with military standards and specifications
- Experience with test equipment and system-level testing
- Working knowledge of CAD tools
- Prior experience supporting manufacturing or fielded systems
- U.S. Citizenship required
- This position may require an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
