About the role
- leading the project team including all engineering efforts for a project or multiple projects on time and budget
- Ensure design compliance with all project requirements
- Review customer specifications and requirements, and lead a project team to develop designs
- Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
- Communicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customer
- Participate heavily in preparation of the more complex and significant proposals
- Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians and support personnel
- Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
- Mentor and coach less experienced engineers
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
- minimum of 8 years of related experience
- Mastery of technologies and domain knowledge
- knowledge and experience in multiple engineering disciplines
- U.S. Citizenship required
- active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance
