About the role

  • Provide administrative and clerical support specifically related to supply chain department activities, managers or staff
  • Maintain files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation
  • Maintain information on computer systems
  • Assist in expediting orders
  • Assist buyers in contacting vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates
  • Develop and maintain resources for assigned commodity items
  • Prepare standard requests for quotation
  • Perform a variety of routine activities in support of functional areas such as production operations, engineering, or human resources for a specific project, business or a technical unit
  • Gather, collect, record, track and verify data and information from multiple sources
  • Compile, review and analyze data
  • Use software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations
  • Design processes to enhance work flow
  • Provide data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • flexibility and willingness to move between projects and tasks quickly
  • ability to listen to others and work well as part of a team
  • knowledge of office procedures
  • good writing and verbal skills
