About the role
- Collaborate with and learn from experienced Software Engineers
- Gain hands-on experience while working in a culture defined by friendliness and teamwork at DRS
- Engage in projects from start to finish, with plenty of opportunities for exploration and growth along the way
- Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of software engineers
- Provide regular reporting of progress and status
- Gather and assemble data
- Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of software engineers
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Intern must be ranked as Junior or Senior in the academic standing
- Intern must be enrolled in the Electrical Engineering or Computer Science department
- Taken formal data structures class
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university and maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
- U.S. Citizenship required
- This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
