About the role
- Collaborate with and learn from experienced Electrical Engineers in our Electro-Optical & Infrared Systems line of business
- Mixed-signal integrated circuit layout
- Laboratory functional test of new Readout ICs
- Laboratory characterization of Readout ICs and Focal Plane Arrays (FPAs)
- Transistor-level analog circuit design
- Circuit-level and mixed-mode simulation and verification
- Data analysis and report generation
- Documentation of design, verification, and testing
- Support engineering with routine engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks
- Work independently on daily tasks
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission values and culture of the organization
Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate or Master's Program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Have completed at least 2 years of college with a 3.0 GPA or better
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to solve complex problems using your natural curiosity
- Work effectively as a member of a team or on individual tasks
- The ideal candidate will possess 2 or more of these desired skills:
- Experienced with Virtuoso and Calibre
- Experienced performing integrated circuit physical design (layout)
- Working experience in using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other lab equipment, to validate analog designs
- Familiar with digital IC design using Verilog
- Ability to analyze data in Mathcad, MATLAB, or similar tools
- Ability to solve complex design problems
- U.S. Citizenship required
- This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
