About the role
- supervising a team of engineers on an activity and completion of activity on time and budget
- manage budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
- drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
- communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
- participate in preparation of proposals
- perform design reviews
- supervise and direct the work of others as assigned
- support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
- manage a team that oversees the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency
- ensure the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively
- responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process
- review, evaluate and implement engineering changes and specification requirements
- provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
- capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments
- develop manufacturing process plans, test requirements, manufacturing flow, and capacity plans
- review detail designs for manufacturability and producibility
- lead Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis workshops
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
- minimum of 5 years of experience
