About the role
- Perform system administration duties of on-prem systems and networks including high side, standalone systems, engineering applications, and peripherals in compliance with NISPOM requirements
- Responsible for ensuring high levels of availability and security of systems and networks to support business functions and alignment to external audit requirements
- Design, configure, and tune on-prem connected and standalone information systems and network connections (LAN and WAN)
- Provide deskside support for end users with a primary focus on engineering applications in an air-gapped environment
- Administer and troubleshoot network components including encryption devices, routers, and switches
- Monitor and test network performance, apply security controls, and provide statistics and reports on system performance and vulnerability management
- Install, configure, monitor, administer and maintain servers, printers, scanners and applications
- Schedule and monitor data backup jobs
- Administer and maintain end user accounts throughout the lifecycle
- Perform/support internal external audit functions according to company standards
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in business administration, management information systems, mathematics, information technology, or computer sciences
- Experience with the principles, methods, and techniques used in all phases installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of IT and business systems
- Experience in current principles and practices of system administration
- Strong verbal, written and in-person interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Active DOD Security Clearance
