About the role
- Support mechanical design and prototyping for radar system components and test fixtures.
- Perform hands-on assembly and integration of hardware subsystems, enclosures, and supporting structures.
- Create and modify CAD models and engineering drawings in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Assist with basic mechanical analysis, fit checks, and tolerance verification.
- Contribute to lab organization, part tracking, and test setup preparation.
- Take ownership of a hands-on design project, such as creating a mechanical prototype, jig, or test fixture that directly supports active radar development.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Rising junior or senior (expected graduation 2026 or 2027).
- Strong interest in mechanical design, prototyping, and hardware assembly.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).
- Comfortable using basic shop tools and working hands-on with mechanical assemblies.
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced lab environment.
