About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Draft corporate documents, including company formations, amendments to corporate agreements, minutes of meetings and shareholders’ assemblies, and maintain corporate books;
Draft contracts and instruments related to corporate transactions, such as shareholder agreements, purchase options, investment instruments and memoranda of understanding;
Support corporate governance initiatives by preparing documents, legal opinions and presentations;
Draft, review and negotiate contracts related to the company’s operations, partnerships and service agreements;
Coordinate with external law firms on tax and environmental matters, following up on processes and procedures;
Track and record the department’s requests, keeping systems and internal controls up to date;
Provide legal support to internal departments, contributing to operational compliance and risk mitigation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Law degree;
Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
Postgraduate specialization in Corporate, Business or Civil Law;
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a corporate legal environment;
Strong background in Corporate Law, and in drafting and negotiating contracts;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Analytical, organized, proactive profile with the ability to work in a high-demand environment;
Prior legal experience in retail companies.
