About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage the cybersecurity team from a technical perspective, contributing to and leading strategic direction.
  • Ensure successful execution of cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain the GRC framework aligned with business objectives and industry standards.
  • Advise leadership as a cybersecurity subject matter expert on security risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Foster organization-wide security awareness through training and education initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach junior cybersecurity team members.
  • Create and present risk posture discovery and recommendation reports to risk management leadership.
  • Review technical reports from vulnerability and penetration testing assessments and tabletop exercises.
  • Monitor plans of action and milestones for remediation requirements from assessments, vulnerability reports, audit findings, and security gaps.
  • Liaise with technical and business teams on business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Oversee third parties, vendors, and business partners to mitigate external risk.
  • Interact with business units to understand plans, risk posture, tolerance, and security-support needs.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, focusing on leadership, vulnerability management, GRC, and incident response
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and laws such as PCI, FFIEC, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), HIPAA, GDPR, and GLBA
  • Experience with one or more of ISO 17799, ITIL, and NIST
  • General understanding of the Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) methodology
  • Proven track record of building and leading effective cybersecurity teams
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are required
  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • Additional certifications such as CRISC, CISSP, CISA, CGEIT, GCCC, GSEC, and GISP are preferable but not required
  • Regular, in-person attendance at the Lennar office during regular work hours
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and perform required physical activities, including speaking, hearing, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and moving or carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Finger dexterity is necessary
