About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data architectures
- Architect and build data pipelines for processing and analyzing large-scale datasets
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers in best practices
- Ensure reliability, efficiency, and security of data pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business needs
- Lead the adoption of new technologies and tools that enhance data engineering capabilities
- Oversee the development of data models, schemas, and data marts
- Implement data governance frameworks including data lineage and quality standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in data engineering or related role
- Proficient in SQL with ability to write complex queries and conduct performance tuning
- Experience with Cloud warehouses like Snowflake, Databricks
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala with data processing frameworks experience
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data services
- Knowledge of big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and HBase
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools like MWAA
- Nice to have: Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau
- Understanding of data security practices
