About the role
- Oversee the company’s financial operations and lead the accounting function
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP
- Lead the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
- Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles and prepare budget-to-actual analyses
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making
- Oversee cash management, working capital analysis, and treasury functions
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Act as primary liaison with tax advisors, lenders, and the parent company
- Mentor and develop accounting staff and support system and process improvements to enable scalability
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- At least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- CPA designation required
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/GAAP) and financial statement preparation experience
- Demonstrated experience managing budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Strong systems knowledge (ERP experience; Workday an asset)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a high-growth environment
- Must be a current Canadian resident to be considered
