About the role
- Own overall state performance, ensuring execution against volume, growth, penetration, and retention targets.
- Set clear expectations, rhythms, and sales processes that drive accountability and consistent success across the field.
- Recruit, train, coach, and mentor field sales team.
- Conduct regular field rides, performance reviews, and skill development sessions to elevate team capability.
- Analyze state-level trends, competitor activity, and dealer dynamics to identify opportunities.
- Develop and execute localized strategies that maximize production across metro, suburban, and rural areas.
- Guide your team in signing high-value dealerships, strengthening existing partnerships, and promoting Lendbuzz programs.
- Step in to support escalations, high-impact opportunities, and key dealer relationships as needed.
- Partner closely with underwriting, credit, inside sales, operations, and marketing to ensure a seamless dealer experience.
- Help remove obstacles, streamline processes, and ensure clarity between the field and internal teams.
- Use data-driven reporting and KPIs to assess team performance, identify gaps, and implement improvement plans.
- Regularly review territory health, dealer performance, and pipeline opportunities with the field team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Automotive Lending, F&I, Dealer Sales, or related fields—preferably with multi-territory or statewide oversight.
- 5+ years proven success leading and developing a sales team, ideally in high-volume or high-growth environments.
- Strong dealer network throughout the area, with a demonstrated ability to open doors and accelerate growth.
- Hands-on leadership style— you coach in the field, not from behind a desk.
- Highly strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into clear, actionable plans.
- Data-driven mindset, comfortable reviewing KPIs and coaching the team through performance metrics with the ability to analyze trends and identify opportunities.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the state (up to 70–80%); must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving history.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
