Financial Crime Investigator
LendableFinancial Crime Investigator conducting financial crime screenings and investigations for Lendable's new applicants and existing customers. Collaborating with the Financial Crime Team ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct important financial crime screening checks and investigations into new applicants and existing customers
- Use screening tools to match customer data against PEPs & Sanctions lists and use initiative to determine the risks associated with the application/customer
- Review customer profile information and transactional activity to identify financial crime risks, and take appropriate action on the account
- Submit internal Suspicious Activity Reports in instances where suspicious activity has been identified
- As the business grows, you may be required to take on additional tasks to support the Financial Crime Team
- Work in the office 3 days per week
- Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm, with a one hour lunch break
- Work one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) once every 4 weeks, and have two weekdays off in lieu
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team
- Have an analytical mindset with a good attention to detail
- Strong decision-making skills, and excellent writing skills to document decisions
- Can effectively communicate with customers, applicants and senior management, when necessary
- Proficient time management skills, comfortable meeting targets and deadlines
- Previous financial crime experience is advantageous, particularly around screening and KYC
- Experience in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions, including the use of automation and AI technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial crime prevention
- Demonstrated ability to leverage data, machine learning, and AI to develop and optimise strategies for fraud and financial crime detection and prevention
