About the role
- Build and integrate new APIs that elevate the customer journey.
- Optimise lending platforms.
- Participate in deep architectural discussions and shape product future.
- Work across UK, US and International Expansion product teams, Zable Card, Autolend, Lendable Loans, and Internal Tools teams.
- Engage in backend engineering within a team of 160+ engineers covering backend, frontend, mobile, and platform disciplines.
- Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD practices (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
Requirements
- Modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is a must).
- Solid grasp of a modern PHP framework like Symfony or Laravel.
- Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, and Event Sourcing is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Experience working on financial systems is a bonus.
- Excellent automated testing skills (unit, integration, functional) - Behat, PHPUnit.
- High degree of ownership and autonomy.
- Experience in a cross-functional environment is a plus.
- Genuine desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute ideas within a highly collaborative team.
