About the role

  • Build and integrate new APIs that elevate the customer journey.
  • Optimise lending platforms.
  • Participate in deep architectural discussions and shape product future.
  • Work across UK, US and International Expansion product teams, Zable Card, Autolend, Lendable Loans, and Internal Tools teams.
  • Engage in backend engineering within a team of 160+ engineers covering backend, frontend, mobile, and platform disciplines.
  • Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD practices (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).

Requirements

  • Modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is a must).
  • Solid grasp of a modern PHP framework like Symfony or Laravel.
  • Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, and Event Sourcing is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Experience working on financial systems is a bonus.
  • Excellent automated testing skills (unit, integration, functional) - Behat, PHPUnit.
  • High degree of ownership and autonomy.
  • Experience in a cross-functional environment is a plus.
  • Genuine desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute ideas within a highly collaborative team.
