About the role
- Work collaboratively in an agile SDLC: work closely with product, development and implementation teams as part of driving a whole-team approach to ensuring high-quality software.
- Understand product direction and work in alignment with the quality strategy: learn the product, understand and execute tests across key functional areas.
- Develop automated tests within a .net ecosystem, integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to manual QA activities as required: analyse user stories, design and execute tests against acceptance criteria, raise and manage defects.
- Execute tests in CI/CD pipelines: run tests in build pipelines, preferably azure pipelines.
- Occasionally travel to clients as required.
Requirements
- 2 - 3 years’ experience working on testing new features as well as regression and other non-functional testing.
- Experience identifying areas suitable for automation, building automated tests and measuring their effectiveness.
- Azure DevOps experience: structuring work across azure boards, managing automation code in azure repos and execution in azure pipelines.
- Automation experience in the .Net stack: C#, PowerShell, API (RestSharp), BDD scenarios (spec flow or Reqn roll).
- Familiarity with common git commands and MS SQL Server.
- Experience automating WPF gui app would be advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience in the financial domain, especially private equity, advantageous.
- Clear and effective communication across teams and geographies in a remote environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Relevant degree e.g. Computer Science or Engineering/Information Technology-related.
- ISTQB certified tester foundational level preferred.
