About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with engineers and other technical staff to understand procurement needs
- Draft DRs in Maximo ensuring accurate data entry
- Research shipping requirements with Transportation and Logistics to support shipping costs on the Desktop Requisition (DR) that supports the Required On Station (ROS) in Antarctica
- Draft other procurement documents including Requests for Approvals, Air/Sealift Transport Requests, Change Requests
- Follow-up on Procurement Request status and work closely with Material Planners to support successful execution of Purchase Orders
- Identify receiving discrepancies and notify the material planner, work with Transportation and Logistics to update documentation and material with correct information and maintain a log of all discrepancies and their current status
- Alert initial requisitioner (i.e., engineer, technical rep) of discrepancies
- Support meetings with agendas and publishing minutes
- Facilities Inventory Management, recommend replenishment quantities
- Perform other duties as required
- Work closely with facilities maintenance planners
- Align work order scheduled start dates with material required on station dates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent relevant job experience) and 2-4 years of experience
- Minimum of two years of diversified experience in procurement and delivery of materials
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Minimum four years in office experience including strong attention to detail
- Experience with data analysis
- Advanced knowledge of databases and spreadsheets; excellent data entry skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical and methodical skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize, and execute against multiple priorities
- Preferred Experience using Maximo purchasing, cargo and inventory modules, especially as used in the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC)
