About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administering and implementing Occupational Safety, Health, and Risk Management strategies in field camp locations.
  • Ensures station, field and peripheral operations meet safety and health program requirements.
  • Acts as on- and off-site safety and health POC for ASC operations.
  • Works with management to implement risk management strategies and plans.
  • Completes routine site visits in and around USAP stations and field camp.
  • Provides guidance to directors, managers, and camp leadership from a safety and risk management perspective.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Safety sciences, chemistry, environmental, engineering, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with safety and health rules, regulations, standards, and the components of an effective safety program.
  • Field experience with logistic base support for remote work camps.
  • Be able to adapt to extreme weather conditions such as high winds, low temperatures.
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
  • Individuals may achieve varying levels of professional certification in safety and/or industrial hygiene or equivalent through continuing education and experience.
