About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of hybrid cloud infrastructures across on-premises and commercial/government cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) utilizing IaaS and PaaS solutions
Administer and optimize virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, and cloud-native virtualization technologies
Assist with automating deployments, configurations, and resource provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams to support integration efforts and ensure consistent enterprise solutions
Implement and support containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes within cloud and hybrid environments
Monitor cloud and virtualization environments to maintain system availability, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency
Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and system issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions as needed
Apply security best practices including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation while supporting compliance with frameworks such as RMF, NIST, and ISO 27001
Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines and assist with automation efforts across the software development lifecycle
Configure and maintain monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) to support operational monitoring and incident response activities
Maintain technical documentation including system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
Work closely with engineering, operations, and program stakeholders to support infrastructure solutions aligned with mission and business requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires BS and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience
Must have a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
Must have an advanced cloud certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer for example)
Must have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
