About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for supporting the material acquisition plans for NASA IT programs
- Works with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials
- Coordinates forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority
- Provides advice to programs for materials management and sourcing
- Places orders through purchasing cards
- Analyzes material requirements for leveraging opportunities
- Engages supply chain to determine optimal acquisition strategy
- Manages delivery schedules
- Experience with supplier coordination
- Demonstrated experience interfacing across multiple organizations with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight time constraints
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires a BA degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Great organization and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be located within 50 miles of a NASA Center. Local travel to NASA facilities required for program system access.
- Must a US Citizen.
- Purchasing Card experience (preferred)
- Buying experience (preferred)
- Supply Chain Management experience (preferred)
- MRP knowledge or experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge and experience in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements (preferred)
