About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for supporting the material acquisition plans for NASA IT programs
Works with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials
Coordinates forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority
Provides advice to programs for materials management and sourcing
Places orders through purchasing cards
Analyzes material requirements for leveraging opportunities
Engages supply chain to determine optimal acquisition strategy
Manages delivery schedules
Experience with supplier coordination
Demonstrated experience interfacing across multiple organizations with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task and work under tight time constraints

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires a BA degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience
Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Great organization and communication skills
Attention to detail
Must be located within 50 miles of a NASA Center. Local travel to NASA facilities required for program system access.
Must a US Citizen.
Purchasing Card experience (preferred)
Buying experience (preferred)
Supply Chain Management experience (preferred)
MRP knowledge or experience (preferred)
Strong knowledge and experience in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements (preferred)
