About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define the customer engagement management strategy and engage senior company executives in contact activity
  • Personally engage with customers and stakeholders to understand their challenges, constraints and desired outcomes
  • Lead the development of winning strategies that differentiate us, are competitively focused and are compelling to the client
  • Assemble a high performing Capture team that brings relevant expertise and capabilities
  • Deliver clear and inspired leadership to assure execution of winning capture strategy
  • Work with the Bid Manager to develop a high-quality proposal
  • Lead internal stakeholder management through stages of deal governance
  • Lead post-submission activities and support the programme team ensuring smooth handover to operational delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience securing new business in the UK public sector – National and Devolved Government, National Security and Defence sectors
  • Ability to sell multi-discipline IT and system integration solutions
  • Strong understanding of sales and capture strategy
  • Demonstrable business development and sales capture leadership, shaping and executing business winning strategies
  • Experience in Capture / Pursuit leadership in a dynamic business winning environment
  • Exceptional leadership, relationship management, and communication skills
  • Proven effective in working across organisational boundaries
  • Sound commercial acumen and ability to define Leidos value proposition with compelling business case
  • UK Security Clearance is required
