About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Seeking an Associate Substation Structural Engineer with minimum 2 years of experience with a utility and/or utility consulting company doing design engineering.
Experience with design of steel structures, concrete structures, geotechnical engineering, and foundations.
Direct design of civil/structural design components for bid/construction packages for substation projects.
Perform design calculations and develop construction-grade engineering design drawings, under the supervision of a licensed civil engineer.
Site-visits to client substation facilities are expected, along with occasional travel for client meetings.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Civil-Structural Engineering and 2+ years of experience or Masters (MS) with 1+ years of relevant experience
EIT Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & Mathcad software
Experience with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, RISA 3D, FAD, SAFE, SAG10, and LPile software, (preferred)
Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation software preferred
Strong analytical and technical writing skills
Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff
Must be a U.S. Citizen
