About the role
- Report to the Contracts Director and support all contract management activities for a diverse portfolio of contracts.
- Provide the oversight and evaluation of major proposals and monitoring major contracts.
- Recommend and implement new solutions to achieve functional objectives.
- Act as a critical asset in key negotiations and lead reviews and negotiations of Teaming Agreements, Nondisclosure Agreements, License Agreements and OCI Mitigation Plans.
- Resolve contractual and customer performance issues, identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Leidos policies and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Routinely interact with programs, contracts, procurement, finance, project control, legal and export control team members.
- Proactively engage with Government contracting counterparts and lead review and analysis of Request for Proposals (RFPs) to identify and mitigate contract risks.
- Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.
Requirements
- BA degree + 12 or more years of relevant experience; or Masters degree + 10 or more years of relevant experience.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final TS/SCI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain a SCI Clearance.
- In depth knowledge of all contract types (e.g., T&M, FFP, and Cost Plus).
- Experience with Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements and other legal instruments.
- Strong background in Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and articulate communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Proven history of building a team environment, fostering communication, listening to staff concerns, and reconciling internal issues or differences.
- Working knowledge with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and/or the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and other intelligence agencies is a plus.
- Ability to resolve multi-faceted and complex contractual/customer issues as they arise; resolve performance issues; identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently; consummate team player.
- Travel may be required.
