About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Engineer and operate the enterprise observability stack (Datadog or comparable)
Build, tune, and maintain dashboards, monitors, SLOs/SLIs, and alerting policies
Instrument services, infrastructure, and containerized workloads using agents, OpenTelemetry, and language-specific APM tracers
Engineer managed database observability across various database services
Engineer container-platform observability for OpenShift/Kubernetes
Lead investigation and resolution of complex performance, latency, saturation, and reliability issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure or platform engineering roles
5+ years focused on observability, performance engineering, or site reliability engineering
Experience engineering and operating an enterprise observability platform (Datadog preferred)
Experience building APM and distributed tracing coverage
Experience leading production performance and reliability problem-solving
Hands-on experience monitoring Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters
