About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Performing design reviews of civil/structural design components in support of bid/construction packages for substation projects
Leading projects as a senior engineer
Developing junior staff members
Conducting site-visits to client substation facilities
Occasional travel for client meetings and industry-related events
Ensuring compliance with quality control and safe work practices
Maintaining compliance with project scope, schedule and budget expectations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Licensed Senior Civil/Structural Engineer
5+ years of experience within the utility industry
Strong educational background in design of steel structures, concrete structures, geotechnical engineering, and foundations
Experience reviewing substation structure design, rigid bus design, foundation design, oil spill containment design, retaining walls, masonry control shelters, and firewalls
PE License Required in PA, OH, WV, MD, NJ or the ability to obtain licensure in these states within 3-12 months
SE licensure is preferred
Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MATHCAD software
Experience with RISA 3-D, STAAD.Pro, FAD, SAG10, and LPILE software
Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation
Strong analytical and technical writing skills
