About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and maintain network infrastructure hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points, to ensure high availability and performance.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 incident response and resolution for network outages and complex connectivity issues, minimising disruption to business operations.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, manage firewall rules and conduct ongoing monitoring to safeguard the network from unauthorised access and cyber threats.
- Configure network devices and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date documentation of network topology, configurations and procedures.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks and apply optimisation strategies to maintain optimal network health and capacity.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong understanding of core networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
- Hands‑on experience working with enterprise‑grade networking hardware, including platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto and Fortinet.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting network security devices and firewall policies.
- Proven ability to use network analysis and monitoring tools, such as Wireshark and SolarWinds, to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen who holds an active TSPV security clearance.
