About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the Release Train Engineer (RTE), facilitating execution across Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
- Lead and coordinate Program Increment (PI) Planning, ensuring alignment of teams, dependencies, and delivery objectives.
- Facilitate ART-level ceremonies including Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Track and manage program-level risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring visibility and resolution.
- Monitor and report on Agile execution metrics, including burndown charts and program performance indicators.
- Ensure alignment between product management, engineering, DevSecOps, and system integration teams.
- Support continuous improvement of Agile processes, team performance, and delivery predictability.
- Facilitate communication and coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Remove impediments and escalate issues impacting program delivery.
- Support integration of Agile delivery with DevSecOps pipelines and system lifecycle activities.
- Promote adoption of SAFe principles, Agile best practices, and Lean delivery methodologies.
- Support readiness and execution of system releases across development, test, integration, and production environments.
- Provide reporting and status updates to program leadership and Government stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline and 8–12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and 6–10 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading Agile teams or programs in a SAFe or large-scale Agile environment.
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer in Agile or SAFe environments.
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies across multiple teams and coordinating program-level execution.
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination in large-scale programs.
- Experience working with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar).
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience operating within SAFe or Agile frameworks supporting enterprise systems.
