About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Experience in executing both substation physical and P&C projects
- Performing quality control checks on substation physical and P&C design projects
- Expected to read and design substation design drawings such as one-line drawings, three-line drawings, schematics, wiring, plan-section drawings, conduit and grounding drawings
- Create and check bill of materials for substation physical and P&C Quality Control Checks Design
- Complete Project Lifecycle Support from Scoping to Final Design and Implementation
- Applying the Minimum Requirements of the National Electrical Safety Code to the Design Processes
- Working with a Designer/Drafter to Create the Required Drawings for Each Project
- Attend site visit at customer location occasionally
- Visit the Framingham Leidos office for collaboration with the team occasionally
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related degree
- Eight (8+) or more years of related substation design experience
- Experience with bus calculation
- Working knowledge of protection and control design
- Experience with grounding studies/lightning protection and lighting studies
- Experience with AC and DC calculations
- Experience with WinIGS or CDEGS
- Experience working on CAD tools
