About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as members of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment
- Solve challenging problems involved with electric transmission
- Serve as Engineers on electric transmission line design projects
- Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI and other standards in engineering and design
- Perform engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, draft plans and specifications
- Prepare material procurement and construction documents
- Interact with multi-person Leidos team and clients
- Involve in project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel
- Possible work in client office and periodic travel (up to 10-15%)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering
- 4+ years of relevant experience for Mid-Senior Level
- 8+ years of relevant experience for Lead Level
- 2+ years of demonstrated leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience
- Experience in reviewing full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models
- Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams
- Expert-level proficiency in PLS-CADD
- Experience with foundation analysis software such as LPILE or FAD Tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
