About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work on projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV
Use knowledge of digital logic design, AC and DC circuits to design substation electrical projects
Perform quality control checks on substation physical design projects
Read and design substation physical drawings such as one-line drawings, three-line drawings, foundation, grounding drawings
Attend site visits at customer locations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related degree
4+ years of related substation physical design experience for senior-level
8+ years of related substation physical design experience for lead-level
Experience with grounding studies and lighting studies
Self-starter who works independently with minimal direction
Strong analytical skills and proven problem solver
Willingness to travel to project/client sites
