About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engineer, administer, and maintain enterprise‑scale MECM solutions.
  • Deliver endpoint configuration management outcomes including application deployment, operating system deployment, patch management, and compliance enforcement.
  • Develop, test, and maintain application packages, task sequences, collections, deployment workflows, driver repositories, and build standards.
  • Manage Windows endpoint patching.
  • Configure and sustain Software Update Points (SUPs), Automatic Deployment Rules (ADRs), maintenance windows, configuration baselines, compliance controls, and remediation actions.
  • Perform technical investigation and resolution of MECM-related issues.
  • Contribute to system integration, verification, validation, and acceptance activities.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, engineering artefacts, and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell-based automation for deployment, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, security teams, and service operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft MECM in Defence or large-enterprise environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows client operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Experience delivering patching and compliance outcomes in regulated environments.
  • Experience with application packaging and deployment technologies including MSI, MSIX, and scripted installers.
  • Working-level PowerShell scripting capability.
  • Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum NV-1 level security clearance and be willing to uplift to NV-2.
